  • Amorphous Solids: Understanding Particle Arrangement & Properties
An amorphous solid does not have an orderly arrangement of particles.

Crystalline solids have a regular, repeating arrangement of atoms, ions, or molecules that form a crystal lattice. Amorphous solids, also called non-crystalline solids, lack this regular arrangement and instead have a disordered structure. Examples of amorphous solids include glass, rubber, and plastic.
