  • Understanding Salt Surface Area: A Chemical Perspective
The surface area of salt cannot be defined as such since it consists of many discrete crystals, each with its own surface area. The amount of salt in these crystals can be measured in mass or molarity based on its chemical nature as sodium chloride. However, surface area cannot be generalized for salt.
