  • Henry Moseley's Contribution to Atomic Number & the Periodic Table
    Moseley's Law:

    - Henry Moseley conducted experiments in 1913 and suggested that the atomic number of an element equals the number of positive charges (protons) in the nucleus.

    - This contradicted the earlier models of the atom that were based on atomic mass.

    - As a result of Moseley's work, the concept of the atomic number was introduced, and it became a fundamental property for identifying and organizing elements in the periodic table.
