  • Aluminum Crystal Structure: FCC Explained
Aluminum has a face-centered cubic (fcc) crystal structure. In this arrangement, the atoms are arranged in a repeating pattern of cubes with an atom at each corner and one in the center of each face. This structure is also known as a cubic close-packed (ccp) structure. The fcc structure is one of the most common crystal structures in metals, and it is found in many other elements, including copper, gold, silver, and lead.
