Sodium zincate is an inorganic compound with the formula Na₂ZnO₂, consisting of sodium ions, zinc ions, and oxide ions. It is a white solid that is soluble in water and has a high pH. Zincate can readily disproportionate to produce metallic zinc and zincate oxide, therefore, it should be handled carefully.
