  • Understanding Boiling Point: Why Temperature Stabilizes
This statement is not accurate. When a liquid reaches its boiling point, its temperature stops rising and remains at the boiling point until all the liquid has transformed into a gas. The boiling point is a characteristic property of a substance and is dependent on the atmospheric pressure. As more energy is added to the liquid at its boiling point, it undergoes a phase transition from liquid to gas, but its temperature does not increase further.
