  • Preventing Green Skin Contact with Copper: Effective Methods
There are a few ways to treat copper so that your skin does not turn green.

    1. Apply a clear coat to the copper. This will create a barrier between the copper and your skin, preventing the copper from reacting with the sweat on your skin and causing it to turn green. You can use a clear nail polish, a spray-on clear coat, or a liquid clear coat.

    2. Wax the copper. Waxing the copper will also create a barrier between the copper and your skin. You can use a car wax, a furniture wax, or a beeswax.

    3. Paint the copper. Painting the copper will cover up the copper and prevent it from coming into contact with your skin. You can use any type of paint, but a water-based paint will be the easiest to apply.

    4. Wear gloves when handling copper. If you are going to be handling copper for an extended period of time, wear gloves to protect your skin. This will prevent the copper from coming into contact with your skin and causing it to turn green.

If your skin does turn green from copper, you can remove the green discoloration by washing your skin with soap and water. You can also use a lemon wedge to rub on the green discoloration. The citric acid in the lemon juice will help to remove the green discoloration.
