    Uranium is the main fuel for nuclear reactors, which generate electricity by splitting uranium atoms in a process called nuclear fission. The heat from this process is used to boil water and create steam, which drives turbines to generate electricity.

    Medical Imaging

    Uranium is also used in some types of medical imaging, such as X-rays and CT scans. These imaging techniques use uranium to produce radiation, which can be used to create detailed images of the inside of the body.

    Industrial Applications

    Uranium is also used in a variety of industrial applications, such as in the production of glass and ceramics. Uranium oxide can be added to glass and ceramic materials to make them more resistant to heat and chemicals.

    Other Applications

    Uranium has a few other applications, such as in the production of uranium-based alloys, which are used in some high-temperature applications, and in the production of nuclear weapons.
