  • Lithium Sulfate Electrolyte Properties: Strong vs. Weak
Lithium sulfate is a strong electrolyte.

An electrolyte is a substance that, when dissolved in water, separates into ions that are free to move about. Strong electrolytes completely dissociate into ions in water, while weak electrolytes only partially dissociate.

Lithium sulfate is a salt that is composed of lithium ions (Li+) and sulfate ions (SO42-). When lithium sulfate is dissolved in water, the lithium ions and sulfate ions separate completely and become surrounded by water molecules. This means that lithium sulfate is a strong electrolyte.
