  • Understanding the pH of Petroleum: Why It's Not Applicable
Petroleum, also known as crude oil, does not have a pH value as it is not an aqueous solution. pH is a measure of the acidity or basicity of an aqueous solution, which is a solution containing water. Petroleum is a nonpolar organic liquid composed primarily of hydrocarbons and does not contain water. Therefore, it is not appropriate to measure the pH of petroleum.
