  • Universal Indicator Color Changes: Acids & Bases Explained
    Universal indicator is a mixture of several different indicators that change color over a wide range of pH values. When an acid or base is added to universal indicator, the solution will turn a different color depending on the pH of the solution. The following table shows the colors that universal indicator will turn at different pH values:

    0-3 Red

    4-6 Orange

    7 Yellow

    8-11 Blue

    12-14 Purple
