There is no evidence to suggest that rainwater is becoming less acidic. In fact, most studies show that rainwater is becoming more acidic, due to the increase in atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide (CO2). CO2 reacts with water to form carbonic acid, which lowers the pH of rainwater.
