Petroleum jelly, also known as petrolatum, is a semi-solid, translucent mixture of hydrocarbons obtained from petroleum. It is typically used as a skin moisturizer, a hair styling product, and a lubricant. Gasoline, on the other hand, is a highly flammable liquid used in internal combustion engines.
While petroleum jelly is derived from petroleum, it undergoes extensive refining and purification processes to remove impurities, including gasoline. As a result, petroleum jelly is safe for topical use on the skin and does not contain any gasoline.
