- 4 toothpicks

- 2 black beads

- 2 white beads

- Glue

Instructions:

1. Push the four toothpicks into the Styrofoam ball, spaced evenly around the ball.

2. Glue the two black beads to the ends of two of the toothpicks. These represent the beryllium atom's two protons and two neutrons.

3. Glue the two white beads to the ends of the other two toothpicks. These represent the beryllium atom's two electrons.
