    Boric acid solution should not be chilled because it becomes saturated at or below body temperature and crystals that precipitate could obstruct ureters on warming (as the solution is instilled intravesically). To avoid crystallization within the urinary tract, the solution is instilled at body temperature and the patient remains recumbent until after voiding
