  • pH and Elemental Substances: Understanding Sulfur and Nitrogen
The concept of pH does not apply to pure elemental substances like sulphur and nitrogen.

pH is a measure of the hydrogen ion concentration in a solution and is typically used to describe the acidity or basicity of aqueous solutions. Sulphur and nitrogen, as elements, do not form aqueous solutions and therefore do not have a defined pH value.
