  • Strong vs. Weak Acids: Identifying Non-Strong Acids (Brønsted-Lowry)
    HNO2

    HBr, HCl, and HClO4 are all strong acids and completely dissociate in water, releasing H+ ions. HNO2, on the other hand, is a weak acid and only partially dissociates in water. Therefore, HNO2 does not behave as a strong acid when dissolved in water.
