  • Chloride in Deionized Water: Silver Chloride Precipitation & Analysis
The anion normally present in deionized water and can be precipitated by silver ions is chloride (Cl-). Silver ions (Ag+) have a high affinity for chloride ions, forming a white, insoluble precipitate of silver chloride (AgCl). This reaction is commonly used in qualitative analysis to detect the presence of chloride ions in a solution.
