  • Chloroform Flammability: Understanding Flash Points and Safety
Chloroform is not non-flammable, though it is less flammable than many other solvents.

Chloroform has a flash point of 42 °C (108 °F) in a closed cup and 18 °C (64 °F) in an open cup, which means it will not readily ignite at room temperature. However, it can still be ignited if exposed to a spark or other source of ignition, and it will burn vigorously if it catches fire.
