  • Copper Chloride and Aluminum Reaction: Products and Chemical Process
    Copper (II) Chloride (CuCl2) and Aluminum (Al) react to form Aluminum Chloride (AlCl3) and Copper metal (Cu).

    The chemical reaction can be represented as:

    3CuCl2 + 2Al -> 2AlCl3 + 3Cu

    In this reaction, Copper (II) Chloride undergoes reduction, where its oxidation state changes from +2 to 0, resulting in the formation of Copper metal. Simultaneously, Aluminum undergoes oxidation, where its oxidation state changes from 0 to +3, leading to the formation of Aluminum Chloride.
