  • pH of Glucose (C6H12O6) in Water: A Neutral Solution
The given compound, C6H12O6, is glucose, which is a neutral substance. It does not undergo ionization in water and therefore does not affect the pH of the solution. The pH of a solution is a measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions (H+) in that solution. Since glucose does not produce or consume H+ ions, the pH of a solution containing glucose remains unchanged. The pH of pure water is 7.0 at room temperature. Therefore, the pH of C6H12O6 in water will be 7.0 as well.
