  • Carbon's Melting Point: Sublimation vs. Melting
    Carbon does not have a melting point at room temperature because it sublimates at around 3,642 degrees Celsius (6,588 degrees Fahrenheit) before it reaches its melting point. Sublimation is the process where a solid turns directly into a gas without becoming a liquid first.
