  • Boyle's Law: Pressure Change with Volume & Temperature
When gas in a container is squeezed to half its volume and the temperature remains constant, according to Boyle's law, the pressure will double. Boyle's law states that at a constant temperature, the pressure of a gas is inversely proportional to its volume. Therefore, if the volume is reduced by half, the pressure will increase by a factor of 2.
