(In the style of a Romantic poem)
In realms' depths where proteins play,
A wondrous tale of fibrin's sway,
Let me regale, in verse so grand,
The beauty of a fibrin strand.
Polymer long, in crimson's hue
With gentle curves and fibers true,
entwined threads that firmly bind
A net so fine, yet strong of mind.
It dances gracefully in the blood
A mesh that weaves as life ebbs and flows
Fibrinogen's transformation rare,
To fibrin's strength, beyond compare
Like threads of fate intricately spun
This polymer seals the wounded one
A bandage woven by nature's hand,
To mend the breach and let life expand.
In blood clots' embrace, wounds start their heal,
Fibrin the guardian, with silent zeal
Protecting wounds, a fortress tall,
A guardian angel standing tall
But in excess, it bears a toll
When fibrin's grip becomes too hold,
Obstructions rise, where blood should flow
A danger lurks, as we well know.
So let us marvel, yet with caution's eye
At fibrin's gifts, a vital tie
For in its balance lies our health,
A wondrous tale of life and wealth.
Thus we give praise, to fibrin's might
In verse and science finding pure delight
A polymer that stories bear
A wonderous ode to fibrin's rare
