  • Transient Microbiota: Understanding Temporary Microorganisms
Micro-organisms that lodge on or in us temporarily are known as transient microbiota.

    Here's why:

    * Transient means temporary or short-lived.

    * Microbiota refers to the community of microorganisms that live in a particular environment, in this case, the human body.

These microorganisms are usually picked up from the environment and can be easily removed through good hygiene practices like washing hands or showering. They typically don't establish a permanent residence on or in the body and are less likely to cause illness.

In contrast, resident microbiota are the microorganisms that permanently inhabit our body and are usually beneficial.
