  • Chloroplasts: The Powerhouse of Plant Photosynthesis
The cell structure that makes food for plants using the sun is called a chloroplast.

    Here's why:

    * Chloroplasts contain a green pigment called chlorophyll. Chlorophyll absorbs sunlight, which is the energy source for photosynthesis.

    * Photosynthesis is the process where plants convert light energy, water, and carbon dioxide into glucose (a type of sugar) for food and oxygen as a byproduct.

So, chloroplasts are like tiny solar panels within plant cells, capturing sunlight and turning it into energy for the plant to grow!
