Mitosis produces
two daughter cells that are genetically identical to the parent cell. These daughter cells are called
somatic cells, which are any biological cells forming the body of a multicellular organism other than gametes, germ cells, gametocytes or undifferentiated stem cells.
Here are some examples of somatic cells:
* Skin cells
* Muscle cells
* Blood cells
* Nerve cells
* Bone cells
Essentially, any cell in your body that isn't involved in sexual reproduction is produced through mitosis.
