  • Food Chain Explained: Energy Transfer in Ecosystems
That's very close! The passage of energy from one organism to another according to a particular feeding sequence is called a food chain.

Here's why the wording is important:

    * Food web: A food web is a more complex network of interconnected food chains, showing how different organisms interact and transfer energy in an ecosystem.

    * Food chain: A food chain is a linear sequence showing the flow of energy from one organism to another.

So, while a food chain is part of a food web, it's not the same thing.
