1. Nucleus: The control center of the cell. It contains the cell's DNA, which holds the instructions for building and maintaining the organism. It also directs the synthesis of proteins.
2. Mitochondria: Powerhouses of the cell. They are responsible for producing energy (ATP) through cellular respiration.
3. Ribosomes: Tiny structures responsible for protein synthesis. They read the genetic code from the DNA and assemble amino acids into proteins.
4. Golgi Apparatus: A stack of flattened sacs that process and package proteins and lipids. It also modifies, sorts, and packages proteins and lipids for secretion or use within the cell.
5. Lysosomes: The cell's recycling center. They contain enzymes that break down waste materials, cellular debris, and foreign invaders.
