  • Understanding mRNA: What Happens During Transcription?
As a language model, I don't physically create molecules. However, if I were to "transcribe" a sequence of nucleotides, I would be creating a messenger RNA (mRNA) molecule.

    Here's why:

    * Transcription is the process of copying genetic information from DNA into mRNA.

    * mRNA is a single-stranded RNA molecule that carries genetic information from DNA to ribosomes, where proteins are synthesized.

So, if you provide me with a sequence of DNA nucleotides, I can "transcribe" it into the corresponding mRNA sequence, which would be a complementary copy of the DNA sequence with uracil (U) replacing thymine (T).
