  • Bacterial Reproduction: How Bacteria Multiply (No Marriage Required!)
Bacteria don't get married! They reproduce asexually, meaning they don't need a partner to create offspring.

Here's a little more about bacteria reproduction:

    * Binary Fission: This is the primary way bacteria reproduce. A single bacterium simply copies its DNA and then divides into two identical daughter cells.

    * Horizontal Gene Transfer: While not exactly marriage, bacteria can exchange genetic material with each other through processes like conjugation, transformation, and transduction. This helps them adapt to their environment.

So, while it's a fun thought to imagine bacteria getting married, it's not how they actually reproduce!
