  • Prokaryotic Cells: Structure, Characteristics, and Examples
The cell that has no nucleus and membrane-bound organelles is a prokaryotic cell.

    Here's why:

    * Prokaryotic cells are simple, single-celled organisms like bacteria and archaea.

    * They lack a true nucleus, meaning their genetic material (DNA) is not enclosed within a membrane. Instead, it exists as a single, circular chromosome located in a region called the nucleoid.

    * They also lack other membrane-bound organelles, such as mitochondria, Golgi apparatus, endoplasmic reticulum, etc.

Eukaryotic cells, on the other hand, are more complex cells found in plants, animals, fungi, and protists. They have a true nucleus and a variety of membrane-bound organelles.
