  • Water Excretion: Which Organs Play a Key Role?
The primary organs that excrete water are:

    * Kidneys: The kidneys are the main organs responsible for filtering waste products from the blood and producing urine. Urine is composed mainly of water, and the kidneys regulate the amount of water excreted to maintain proper hydration levels.

    * Skin: The skin excretes water through sweat. Sweating helps to cool the body down, and it also helps to eliminate waste products.

    * Lungs: The lungs exhale water vapor as a byproduct of respiration. This is why we see our breath on a cold day.

    * Intestines: The intestines excrete water in feces.

While these are the main organs involved in water excretion, other organs also contribute to a lesser extent, such as the liver and salivary glands.
