  • T Cells: The Immune System's Cancer-Fighting Warriors
The white blood cell formed in the thymus and attacks cancer cells is a T cell.

    Here's why:

    * T cells are a type of lymphocyte, which are white blood cells that play a key role in the immune system.

    * Thymus is a gland in the chest where T cells mature and develop their ability to recognize and attack specific targets.

    * Cancer cells are abnormal cells that can grow uncontrollably and invade other tissues. Some T cells, particularly cytotoxic T cells, are specialized to recognize and kill cancer cells.

Therefore, T cells formed in the thymus are the white blood cells responsible for attacking cancer cells.
