  • Mitosis and the Nuclear Envelope: Protists and Dinoflagellates
The group of eukaryotic organisms where the nuclear envelope remains intact during mitosis is protists.

Specifically, this applies to a group of protists called dinoflagellates. In dinoflagellates, the nuclear envelope doesn't break down and reform during mitosis. Instead, the chromosomes condense and divide within the intact nucleus.

This is a unique characteristic that distinguishes them from other eukaryotic organisms.
