    The cell that contains chlorophyll is the chloroplast.

    Chloroplasts are organelles found in plant cells and some algae. They are responsible for photosynthesis, the process of converting light energy into chemical energy. Chlorophyll, the green pigment that absorbs light energy, is located within the chloroplasts.
