  • Animal Competition: Understanding Resource Conflicts in Ecosystems
When two animals live in the same area and depend on the same organism for food, they are considered to be in competition for that food source.

    Here's why:

    * Competition is a relationship where two or more organisms strive for the same limited resource, such as food, water, space, or mates.

    * If both animals rely on the same organism for food, they are competing for that limited resource.

    This competition can be:

    * Interspecific: Between different species. For example, lions and hyenas competing for zebras.

    * Intraspecific: Within the same species. For example, two lions competing for the same zebra carcass.
