  • Anton van Leeuwenhoek: The Father of Microbiology
The scientist who first observed microscopic plants and other organisms with the help of a microscope was Anton van Leeuwenhoek.

While other scientists had developed earlier versions of the microscope, Leeuwenhoek made significant improvements to its design and used it to make groundbreaking observations of the microscopic world. He was the first to observe and describe bacteria, yeast, protozoa, and red blood cells.
