  • Understanding Tissues: The Building Blocks of Biological Organization
The level of organization called "groups of cells" is often referred to as tissues.

    Here's why:

    * Cells are the basic unit of life.

    * Tissues are collections of similar cells that work together to perform a specific function.

For example, muscle tissue is made up of muscle cells that contract to allow movement.

So, while "groups of cells" is not a formally recognized term in biology, it's essentially describing the tissue level of organization.
