  • Essential Cell Components: Shared Features of All Cells
All cells, regardless of their type or organism, have two things in common:

    1. A cell membrane: This is a thin, flexible barrier that surrounds the cell and controls what enters and leaves. It's essentially the cell's "skin".

    2. Genetic material (DNA or RNA): This contains the instructions for the cell's activities and how it replicates. This is the blueprint for the cell's function and life.
