  • Chloroplasts: The Plant Cell's Food-Making Powerhouse
The food factory in plant cells is called the chloroplast.

    Here's why:

    * Chloroplasts are the sites of photosynthesis, the process where plants use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to produce their own food (glucose) and release oxygen.

    * Glucose is the plant's primary energy source, similar to how humans get energy from food.

So, the chloroplast is essentially the plant cell's "kitchen" where it makes its own food!
