  • Eukaryotic Cells: Understanding Cells with a Nucleus
A cell with a nucleus is called a eukaryotic cell.

    Here's why:

    * Eukaryotes are organisms whose cells have a true nucleus enclosed within a membrane. The nucleus contains the cell's genetic material (DNA).

    * Prokaryotes, on the other hand, are organisms whose cells lack a nucleus. Their DNA is located in a region called the nucleoid, which is not enclosed by a membrane.

So, any cell that has a nucleus is considered a eukaryotic cell.
