  • Eukaryotic Cells: The Building Blocks of Animal Life
Animals are comprised of eukaryotic cells.

    Here's why:

    * Eukaryotic cells have a true nucleus, which contains their genetic material (DNA).

    * They also have other membrane-bound organelles like mitochondria, Golgi apparatus, and endoplasmic reticulum, which carry out specialized functions within the cell.

In contrast, prokaryotic cells, which are found in bacteria and archaea, lack a true nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles.
