    Plants have cell walls, while animals do not.

    Cell walls are rigid, supportive structures that surround the cell membrane of plant cells, bacteria, fungi, and some protists. They are primarily composed of cellulose in plants.

    Animal cells lack cell walls and instead have a flexible cell membrane that provides structural support and regulates the passage of molecules into and out of the cell.
