  • Rabbits: Eukaryotic Cells - Understanding Cell Structure
    Rabbits are eukaryotes.

    Here's why:

    * Eukaryotes have complex cells with membrane-bound organelles like a nucleus, mitochondria, and endoplasmic reticulum. They also have DNA organized into chromosomes within the nucleus.

    * Prokaryotes have simpler cells lacking these organelles. Their DNA is located in a region called the nucleoid, but it's not enclosed within a membrane.

Rabbits, like all animals, plants, fungi, and protists, are eukaryotes. Bacteria and archaea are prokaryotes.
