  • Which Organ Doesn't Produce Lipase? Understanding Lipase Secretion
The organ that is NOT known to secrete a lipase is the spleen.

    Here's why:

    * Lipase is an enzyme that breaks down fats (lipids).

    * The spleen is primarily involved in filtering blood, storing white blood cells, and recycling old red blood cells. It doesn't play a significant role in digestion.

Here are some organs that do secrete lipases:

    * Pancreas: The pancreas is the primary source of lipase in the body.

    * Stomach: The stomach secretes gastric lipase, which begins the digestion of fats.

    * Tongue: Lingual lipase is secreted by the tongue and helps break down fats in the mouth.

    * Small intestine: The small intestine also produces some lipase.
