  • Somatotype System: Understanding the 3 Body Types (Endomorph, Mesomorph, Ectomorph)
The somatotype system classifies the human body into three categories:

    1. Endomorphy: Characterized by a round, soft, and fat body build.

    2. Mesomorphy: Characterized by a muscular and strong body build.

    3. Ectomorphy: Characterized by a thin and linear body build.

While there are three main categories, individuals can fall anywhere on a spectrum within each category. This means that a person can be primarily endomorphic with some mesomorphic traits, or primarily ectomorphic with some endomorphic traits, and so on.
