Here's why:
* Non-template strand: It's not used as a template for RNA synthesis.
* Coding strand: Its sequence (except for uracil instead of thymine) is the same as the mRNA that is produced.
* Sense strand: It has the same sequence as the mRNA (again, except for uracil/thymine).
Important note: While the non-template strand has the same sequence as the mRNA, it's not the actual strand that is read during transcription. The enzyme RNA polymerase uses the template strand (also called the non-coding strand or antisense strand) as a template to build the mRNA molecule.
