* Skin cells: Constantly dividing to replace old or damaged cells.
* Blood cells: Red blood cells are constantly replaced, and white blood cells are needed for immune response.
* Intestine cells: Replacing cells that are constantly shed from the lining of the digestive tract.
* Hair and nail cells: Dividing to produce new hair and nail growth.
* Muscle cells: Mitosis contributes to muscle growth and repair.
* Bone cells: Dividing to help in bone growth and repair.
* Other tissues: All tissues throughout the body rely on mitosis for growth and repair.
Exceptions:
* Nerve cells: In general, mature nerve cells do not divide, although there are some exceptions.
* Muscle cells: Certain types of muscle cells, like cardiac muscle cells, rarely undergo mitosis.
Essentially, any cell that needs to be replaced or is involved in growth and repair can undergo mitosis.
