  • Cellular Respiration: Which Organisms Utilize This Process?
Almost all living organisms use cellular respiration to produce energy. This includes:

    * Eukaryotes: These include animals, plants, fungi, and protists.

    * Prokaryotes: These include bacteria and archaea.

Exceptions: Some organisms, like certain types of bacteria, can use other forms of energy production, like anaerobic respiration or fermentation. However, the vast majority of life on Earth relies on cellular respiration as their primary energy source.
